ICIF speaks for MOFCOM-CCTV-Xinhua event

September 10 (China) - Ministry of Commerce, China (MOFCOM), Xinhua (largest news agency in China) together with CCTV (Central TV Station of China) invite International China Investment Forum (ICIF) to make presentation. ICIF Co-Chairman, Dr. Marcus Lee as speaker on "One Belt One Road - Economic Projection". Also present in the forum was who's who in China business, including Mr. Wang Jianglin, Chairman of Wanda Group, Mr. Guo Guangchang, Chairman of Fosun (respectively 1st and 3rd richest man in Forbes list. Dr. Marcus Lee was speaking on the business opportunities on One Belt One Road (OBOR) in terms of infrasturture and property markers in several countries.

Silk Road Traveling Museum

Sept 25, 2015 (Xian) - Invited by Xian Municipal Governmenet, International China Investment Forum (ICIF) Co-Chairman, Marcus Lee delivered "Silk Road Opportunities: Economy and Culture" at the Euro-Asia Economic Forum to audience from various countries.Also present was Former Deputy Prime Minister of Korea, Senator of Valencia, United Nations Sustainable Development Office, Governor of Shanxi, Mayor and Vice Mayors of Xian and senior government officers.

One of the interesting debate was where is the starting and ending point of Silk Road? Xian or Luoyang or somewhere else?

Ties between Asia and the World date back several centuries. Silk Road not just a trade routes but economic and cultural interaction between East and West.

In History, Silk Road Changed Life in Europe by sharing of Inventions and Innovation, from paper, printing, decimal system to Gunpowder, Rockets etc.


In order to promote Silk Road Culture and Heritage Sharing for the common growth of its multiple destinations, A multi- millions project involved 5 years of archeology research, walking thousands of kilometers, sponsored by several institutions including International China Investment Forum (ICIF) was established. The Objective is to education sharing Inventions and Innovation for common prosperity.

Sept 23, 2015 (Nanjing) - Nanjing Municipal Government Mayor's Consultative Forum invited 13 International Experts to discuss Social Economic Challenges, Nanjing positioning in Maritime Silk Road and Yangzte Delta River Economic Outlook.

Chengdu Municipal Government Meeting

Chengdu's laid back culture, green environment and improving infrastructure, its first subway line became operational in late 2010 have helped to attract a large amount of business to bolster its traditional commercial and tourism industries. It also has a prosperous manufacturing sector where over 100 of the world’s top 500 largest corporations have a presence, including Intel, Sony, Toyota, Motorola, IBM, Nokia, Siemens, Canon and Microsoft, all of which operate assembly lines and/or research and development centers in Chengdu. Chengdu's GDP grew 13% to RMB813.9 billion in 2012.

600 Participants attended ICIF Economic Forum 2015

July 18, 2015 - ICIF Mid Year Economic Forum attracted 600 participants in Chongqing. The event provide briefing about the current economy situation, stock market and for members to discuss domestic and oversea investment opportunities.

During the event, a ceremony for ICIF to launch a New Center of Seminar in Chongqing was announced. The next seminar will be in September 2015, for HNWI (high Net Worth individual). The objective is to explore new destination and new tools for investment.

The next ICIF will be in Lima, Peru in March 2016.Estimated a minimum of 250 participants will be attending. Currently exploring other countries surrounding Peru to consider a smaller seminar and pre/post tour for the event.

Other projects undergoing include 2 China theme exhibition on world tour.

ICIF 2016 return to America

April 21, 2015 (Shanghai) – International China Investment Forum (ICIF) secretariat today announce the next forum to be held in Lima, Peru on March 9-10, 2016. Both Shanghai and Lima office has been working for past few months in finalizing the dates. Aside from core industry like Natural resources, 2016 forum will include a brand new industry theme focus. Around 300 participants is expected to attend the event.

ICIF seminar and conferences was in Peru for 4 years consecutively. Starting with a small size seminar in 2009, ICIF grow to be the largest China Investment forum in Peru in 2012 with over 250 senior executive participants, and more than 60 Chinese companies. Large Chinese companies like CNPC, Huawei were present. The event is very much supported by local sponsors like Interbank Peru, largest commercial bank in the country.


2016 is a significant step for ICIF to return to America. This includes possible new destination in Latin America and North America.

2015 Annual Info Session held with success

Jan 24, 2015 - Annual info session was one of the largest launch event we have twice yearly in China. It was attended by close to 900 people this time. During the one day meeting, International China Investment Forum (ICIF) 6 major events in the first half of 2015 was explained to participants.

Starting with our annual seminar series, this year witness the 7th Cambodia seminar and creating several brand new destinations. One of the new destination on the list was announce: Myanmar. With influx of investment from China, Singapore, and ASEAN countries, this emerging country is a new draw for many ICIF members and associates.

Aside from investment series seminar, ICIF flagship CEO retreat and Retirement planning seminar will be held in April 2015.

Europe, another new destination for ICIF this year is gear up due to EXPO 2015 in Milan. Shanghai Expo 2010 draws 70 million visitors. During the Info session, the secretariat explain some of the options for post tour in several European countries for their selection. Promotion of 6 major events has begun, but it will be slow due to Chinese new year celebration in Mid February where we shall resume the promotion in early March.

China Luxury Program 2014 under International China Investment Forum (ICIF) held in Phnom Penh

January 8-18, 2014, two delegations comprises of around 50 HNWI (High Net Worth Individual) participated in 2014 China Luxury Retreat Program under International China Investment Forum (ICIF) held in largest commercial bank in Cambodia. The program was held in partnership with financial sectors and supported by Securities Commission. At the conclusion of the event, post tour was organized to visit Angkor Watt in Siem Reap.

2013 ICIF returned to China for the annual forum for 10th year anniversary. Instead of hosting a larger forum in Shanghai which was originally planned, ICIF secretariat change the format and created a ICIF Road Show tour in 6 major cities China including July 27 (Urumuqi) Aug 3 (Chongqing) Aug 10 (Chengdu) Aug 17 (Xi'an) Aug 31 (Beijing) Sept 7 (Zhengzhou). Participants of the road show exceeded 700 audiences, 70% comprises of ICIF Association members.

ICIF Secretariat is working with the Government of Cambodia to explore the organization of International China Investment Forum (ICIF) in Cambodia early 2014. International China Investment Forum (ICIF) 2013, gathering a minimum of 500 delegates


March 15, 2013 (Shanghai) - International China Investment Forum (ICIF) 2013 will be held in China on November 6, gathering a minimum of 500 delegates. Since inception in 2002, in the past 11 years, ICIF has been organized in over 40 countries.

November 21,2012 Guatemala - For a long time, many Chinese delegations have visited Latin America and have tried to cover as much as they can in less than a week, and many Latin America CEO's constantly visit Chinese fairs and are overwhelmed by the enormous opportunities. But, which is the real success of those road shows? Latin American CEO's are interested in exporting to China, but how difficult it is to meet the ideal partner in a long-term basis?

The International China Investment Forum (ICIF) is an event whose purpose is to build a bridge between Chinese and Latin American companies helping them to understand each other and providing them the real business oriented environment.
  
ICIF 2012 was successfully completed with close to 100 participants. They all were very interested in knowing about the plans for ICIF 2013.

That is why, it is critical to point out that Manufacturing, Agriculture and Trading will be the focus of ICIF Shanghai 2013. China Petro (CNPC) Latin America President Gong Ben Cai received by Dr. Marcus Lee at ICIF


November 15, 2012 (Lima, Peru) - China Petro (CNPC) Latin America President Gong Ben Cai was invited by International China Investment Forum (ICIF) to deliver keynote speech during the forum. Dr. Marcus Lee and Gong Ben Cai was in the panel of ICIF in 2011 discussing issues on success factors for Chinese companies to invest abroad. In 2012, Mr. Gong shares on China Economic Outlook. Also present was some 40 Chinese companies senior management, together with Chinese official medias.

According to Gong Ben Cai, China is becoming an important player in the global economy, with China-Latin America interactions improve tremendously, Latin American countries is becoming a focus for Chinese investments. China-Peru trading relations also among the best in the region. Currently, China is Peru’s largest export market and second largest import market. At the same time, Chinese companies investing in Peru also improving at an average of 20% annually. Currently there are around 50 Chinese companies join the Chinese Association, consist of 16 mining companies, 10 trading companies, 9 technology and services companies. Investing in Peru and China is attractive for both countries. Organizing the International China Investment Forum (ICIF) to discuss opportunities in trade, energy and mining is very useful.

November 14, 2012 (Lima, Peru) - Peru Minister of Energy & Mining, H. E Jorge Merino was invited by International China Investment Forum (ICIF) to deliver keynote speech at Country Club Peru. The  theme of ICIF 2012 forum was “Exploring Opportunities in Trading, Energy & Mining”. ICIF Chairman Dr. Marcus Lee met with Minister Jorge Merino. International China Investment Forum (ICIF), one of the largest China Investment and Trade forum was founded in 2002, it has organized seminars and conferences in over 40 countries in the past 10 years.

According to Minister Jorge Merino, he said Peru offers a stable investment environment. Peru government respect and protect foreign direct investment. In terms of tax, Peru Government offer equal treatment to  domestic and international companies. Nevertheless, some of the citizens may have concerns on environment and water pollutions during the mining exploration which may cause social problem. Hence, the Peruvian government will improve its communications between this parties, to ensure social issues are taken care while economic development take place.

November 14, 2012 (Lima, Peru), International China Investment Forum (ICIF) 2012 was co-organized by Hampton Court Investment Bank, Delmar Ugarte law firm and Chinese Association. The forum took place at Country Club Conference center in the city center of Lima.

Keynote Speakers include Peru Minister of Energy and Mines H.E Jorge Merino, Ambassador of The People’s Republic of China to Peru Ms. Huang Min Hui, China Petro (SAPET) President Mr. Gong Ben Cai, Peru Import & Export President Juan Varilias, ICIF Worldwide Chairman & Managing Director of Hampton Court Investment Bank Dr. Marcus Lee, Delmar Ugarte partners Manuel Ugarte and Ms. Viviana Garcia.

Total of around 200 audience participated in 2012 International China Investment Forum, making it one of the largest China Investment and Trade forum in the country. ICIF has been organizing seminars and conferences in Peru since 2009.

Trade between Peru and China would reach 15 billion in 2012, 15.38 percent higher than the 13 billion expected in 2011, Trade between Peru and China surpassed 10 billion in 2010 and this year would grow 32 percent. This increase is largely fueled by the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) signed between the two countries and which entered into force in March 2010

Foro Internacional de Inversión China (ICIF) Peru 2011


Puente entre empresas chinas y latinoamericanas


30 de Noviembre, 2011 - Hace algún tiempo somos testigos de cómo innumerables delegaciones chinas visitan Latinoamérica y tratan de abarcar lo más que puedan en menos de una semana; asimismo, directivos de empresas latinoamericanas visitan constantemente ferias industriales en China, y quedan abrumados ante las enormes oportunidades que ofrece este mercado. Sin embargo, ¿cuál es el verdadero éxito de estas giras? De otro lado, compañías chinas se sienten atraídas por las oportunidades de inversión en el sector minero de países como Perú y Bolivia, al mismo tiempo que directivos de empresas latinoamericanas tienen permanentemente los ojos puestos en China. Nos preguntamos, ¿qué tan difícil es encontrar socios estratégicos en uno u otro lado o encontrar socios que lo serán a largo plazo?.

El Foro Internacional de Inversión China (ICIF) es un evento cuyo propósito es constituirse como un puente entre empresas chinas y latinoamericanas, ayudándolas a crear un ambiente adecuado de negocios, considerando las barreras culturales que pudiesen surgir entre ambos.

Este último 17 de Noviembre de 2011, Hampton Holdings Court, y Delmar Ugarte Abogados, firma de abogados peruana; alentados por el 40 aniversario de las Relaciones Diplomáticas entre Perú y China, y la atmósfera creada por la V Cumbre Empresarial China – América Latina (acontecimiento que tuvo lugar pocos días después en Lima, Perú); unieron sus esfuerzos en la organización de un foro, que tuvo como objetivo principal, reunir a directivos de empresas chinas y peruanas para discutir acerca de las oportunidades y desafíos de la inversión en América Latina, específicamente, en Perú. China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC), a través de SAPET Development Peru, auspició el proyecto gracias a su buena fe y experiencia sobre lo exitosas que pueden llegar a ser estas relaciones; convirtiéndose así en aliado estratégico del mismo.

El Foro ICIF 2011, concluyó exitosamente, con la participación de aproximadamente 100 participantes. ICIF 2011 contó, entre otros, con la participación especial del Dr. Marcus Lee, ponente principal y Director General y Jefe de Economía de Hampton Court Holdings; Elmer Cuba, Director de la firma MacroConsult, Carlos González, Gerente de Estudios Económicos de las Asociación Peruana de Exportadores (ADEX); Harry Chang, Director de la Agencia Peruana de Promoción de la Inversión (PROINVERSION); Miguel Ronceros, socio de Delmar Ugarte Abogados y; Bencai Gong, Presidente de CNPC South America Ltd. El evento fue presidido por Viviana García, socia de Delmar Ugarte Abogados.
La importancia del evento quedó demostrada al contar con presencia en los medios de prensa incluso desde antes que se llevara a cabo. Entre la prensa interesada estuvo: Mundo Empresarial, de Canal N; El Comercio; El Correo y Asia Adentro, Blog de Semana Económica, quién decidió además echar un vistazo a los planes para el próximo año.

Es importante señalar que la industria manufacturera, la agricultura y el comercio, serán el tema central en ICIF 2012 que se realizará el próximo noviembre en Lima – Perú. Evento que se estima tendrá una duración de día y medio y que promete exposiciones, lanzamiento de libros, un cocktail de cierre y mucho más. Esperamos tener la misma o incluso una mayor acogida que este año.
